This soap contains the essential oil of approximately 3 very lucky Bergamot oranges. The juice from these oranges tastes more bitter than grapefruit, so they are only grown for their essential oil which is stunning. Clary sage adds its calming, sweet, nutty, herbaceous fragrance to this bar and works beautifully.
Use this soap to keep the bugs off your back. We've combined Bog Myrtle which has been traditionally used in Scotland as a midge repellent, with Lavender and Citronella which also work great as insect repellents. Take that ya beasties!
Get the cheesy tunes ready. Every day can smell just a little bit like Christmas! Warming, spicy cinnamon leaf oil drops in the bass end of this blend, with sweet orange and lime oils bringing in the top notes..Tinseltastic!
The Scrub in this bar is finely ground pumice stone. Pumice stones are created when volcanos eject super hot highly pressurised rocks. The light bubbly texture is the result of the rocks cooling and depressurising really fast. Pumice is the perfect exfoliant for scrubbing off dead skin. We've teamed it up with a blend of peppermint and spearmint oils for incredible freshness. Foot-scrub anyone?
Citronella Oil is a renowned plant based insect repellent and has antifungal properties. Teatree Oil has antiseptic qualities. Poppy Seeds provide texture, and a good watering of Sweet Orange Oil makes this a very effective cleanser and a delightfully scented soap bar.
Oatmeal produces a wonderfully textured exfoliating soap. Honey is spectacular in soap too, it adds a faint sweet scent and warm tan colour, and like glycerine, it acts as a humectant, attracting moisture from the air and retaining it in the skin.
The name Hot Toddy may derive from an Indian drink - 'toddy' made from fermented palm tree sap, its thought a member of the East India Company brought the name to Scotland. There are many recipes for the Scottish Hot Toddy, usually a mix of whisky, hot water and sugar or honey. We favour a splash of Tobermory 10 year old malt, Hot water, Honey and Lemon, and thats exactly whats in this bath time treat... Slàinte mhath...
Innocent soap in entirely free from fragrance, colour or botanicals, It is made up exclusively from the saponified oils of Olive, Palm, Coconut and Shea Butter. Lavender oil has been used in perfumery and aromatherapy for generations. The aroma has a calming effect which helps to sooth, relax and reduce stress. The Ancient Greeks gave it the name 'Nardus' after the Syrian city Naarda. They would set fire to Lavender to release its powerful relaxing fumes.
Lavender and Mint are best friends, in fact they're family. Lavender is a genus of 39 species of flowering plants in The Lamiaceae or Labiatae - (the Mint or Dead-Nettle family). Aromatic plants belonging to this spectacular family include kitchen essentials like Basil, Rosemary, Sage, Thyme, Marjoram, Oregano, and of course, our pals - Lavender & Mint. -We don't suggest eating the soap though, obviously.
We've combined the glowing spicy hum of ginger essential oil with the invigorating top end freshness of Lemongrass to create one of those soaps that effortlessly lifts the spirits. You know a soap is a winner when your making it and all you want to do is strip and shower.
We've combined the deep, earthy tones of Patchouli with a touch of bass sweetness from Ylang Ylang oil and then come in on top with juicy Sweet Orange oil to create a well rounded uplifting scent. This is a feel good soap. In aromatherapy Sweet Orange oil is used to promote feelings of warmth and happiness.
Patchouli is a bushy tropical herb with pale pink-white flowers. Its essential oil has a deep, mossy earthy aroma, which provides a terrific base to compliment Rose Geranium oil which has floral, fresh, sweet notes. The finishing touch- a sprinkling of Red Rose petals.
Ylang Ylang petals are sprinkled onto the bed of newly wed couples in Indonesia, and the essential oil is an aphrodisiac. The rich, deep, sweet scent of Ylang Ylang marries beautifully with the floral notes of Rose-geranium, finished with rose petals, this is easily our most sensual, romantic soap bar.
Rosemary and Eucalyptus are hyper fresh, sharp, and uplifting, and in this blend theyre backed up with Camphor, and warming spicy Black Pepper oil. Theres evidence Eucalyptus increases brain activity and successfully counters mental fatigue. This soap bar is a real wake me up.
